With the world so torn and weary right now, there’s little cheer abound this Eid. It’s easy to fall into a dark space and feel as if you’ll never be able to climb out. But for faith or purpose.
Here’s a little, little light from me to you.
I’ve put together a free Eid printable and cutting file pack that includes designs for A3-sized giftwrap, gift tags and a greeting card with cut-out detail.
I used the Silhouette Cameo to make the cuts for this Happy Eid card. It’s a simple design. To achieve the effect of a hanging lantern, I altered the points on my vector so that it wouldn’t result in the shape being completely cut out of the card. I then cut a non-detailed silhouette of the shape and fixed it to the back of the lantern. You’ll find Silhouette Studio files for both the A4 card and the die-cut shapes in your download pack.
If you don’t have access to a cutting machine, I included pdf files for you to use as a tracing guide. Alter the detail on the lamp so it’s not too intricate a cut to do by hand.
You could also edit the lantern shape for gift tags. Use two different papers and mix and match the negatives and positives for a collage-effect.
I created patterned gift wrap with the lantern graphic. These are ready to print on A3, making them a suitable size for wrapping small gifts. A friend had my previous Eid gift wrap freebie printed and laminated to use as placemats. If you use them in other creative ways, please send me pictures, I’d love to see what you come up with.
These gift tag designs are included in the download pack. I placed them on a single A4 for a quick print and cut gifting solution.
