To prepare the starter cream cheese base, combine three packages of cream cheese with one tub of sour cream.
Beat until they are combined.
The mixture may be thinned with a little milk if desired.
Divide the mixture into separate bowls.
For the Piquante Dip:
Add peppadews, sweet gherkins and chopped chives.
Season with salt, ground black pepper and smoked paprika (you may substitute this with regular paprika, but the smoked variant is responsible for the dip’s depth of flavour)
Stir in a few tablespoons of orange marmalade (use a brand with lots of rind), ground citrus pepper (find in Woolworths’ spice section) and chopped walnuts and pistachios.
