Deal with leftover prepared pap or polenta by transforming them into canapé bases.
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Season the pap/polenta with a selection of spices and herbs. I used smoked paprika and oregano with a a little bit of salt.
If your corn meal is too dry to work with, nuke it in the microwave for about 20 seconds with a little water.
Coat your palms in olive oil and form little balls. Pat these down into flat rounds.
Bake for about 40 minutes or until the bases are firm.
Top as desired and serve.
This is such a great idea!! There’s always a fight in our house over the burnt on bits of pap in the bottom of the pot in our house.
